Covid-19 Regathering Plan

RRBC Regathering Update

May 8, 2020

Dear Church Family,

Let me begin by letting you know how much we have missed seeing all of you in person over these weeks of staying in our homes. We have enjoyed interacting electronically and receiving words of encouragement for our efforts provide online services and resources to help you stay connected during this time. As we have now received guidance from our national, state, and local leaders about how to safely return to public worship, we have made the following plans for our church. These plans are subject to change based upon conditions at the time and further guidance from governmental leaders.

Guiding Principles in Our Decision-Making

  • We are ready to resume public worship based upon the latest and best advice available from governmental and Southern Baptist leaders as outlined below; however, each person must consider their specific circumstances in deciding when to return.

  • We do not want to hinder anyone from participating in resumed worship and other activities; however, we will be guided by the allowed capacity (50%) in any of our meeting spaces in consideration of social distancing

  • We ask that anyone who is currently sick and/or running a fever to delay coming back to church until they have recovered

Planned Schedule Restart

  • Sunday Morning Worship
    • We plan to resume public worship on Sunday, May 17th, 2020
    • We will have one worship service (10:30 a.m.) lasting approximately one-hour.
    • There will be no nursery care or children’s church offered however, children are welcome to be in the main service.
  • We will practice social distancing in the Sanctuary in the following ways
    • Seating in the auditorium will be space to allow for social distancing.
    • Only families or those who have had previous social contact will be allowed to sit together
    • There will be a maximum capacity of 150
    • Bathrooms will be open.
  • Personal protection
    • Masks are not required but recommended for those who are at higher risk.
      • Extra masks will be available for those who do not already have one.
    • There are extra hand sanitizer stations throughout both buildings.
      • But we encourage everyone to bring their own hand sanitizer if available.
    • We would strongly encourage hand washing for anyone using the restroom facilities
  • Cleaning
    • All common surfaces and restrooms are currently being cleaned twice per week and will continue into the foreseeable future.
  • Sunday School
    • It is our goal to resume Sunday School on May 31st with appropriate social distancing
    • Some of the larger classes may have to move to other areas of the church to maintain social distancing.
  • Sunday Evening Worship and Activities
    • It is our goal to resume on campus Sunday Evening services and activities on May 31st.
  • Wednesday Evening Worship and Activities
